
The armies of Turan march on Zamora and Shem, her mighty navy seizes control of the brackish Vilayet Sea, and the people cheer Turan’s imperial destiny becoming manifest.
But while King Yezdigerd casts his eyes outward, trouble brews within Turan as dozens of disparate factions vie for power in the nascent empire.
The recent killing in Akif of Zehar Agha by Joram the silk-monger, followed by the latter’s presumed drowning at the hands of a fearsom warrior-woman and her mercenary retinue has sparked a series of revenge killings between each man’s surviving kith and kin. Drawing in rival merchants, feuding beys, and disparate cults, the unrest threatens to engulf all of Turan.
