Hey Steve or Rob, or Anyone,

I got Hero Designer working but it doesn't have the same skills etc. that you have on yours (instructor was one).  I noticed a 5E setting when it was getting set up for me but I couldn't remember where that was. I couldn't find anything to set with the .exe that I have. Do I need some file(s) to set that up?

Well, looking at things, let's verify that we are looking at the same version: Help About shows :

HERO Designer 6
Build 20160704

If the versions match, check under 'current character / change current template / Hero System 5th Edition Rules / Superheroic'. Make sure that super heroic has a little pip by it.

If that's good, perhaps a template isn't selected. Go to preferences / template, and check all but 'sidekick'. That will mirror my configuration, which does show the instructor skill.

Ah I seem to have v 1.0. (Tools /about)  I need an updated version.

 

That is probably my issue.  :)
