My name is Che “Peter” Webster (aka UbiquitousRat) and when I was a kid, we’d meet around at my mate’s house several times a week and go treasure hunting down in some dungeon he’d designed. Some weeks everyone would be there but often we’d have guys missing or new players to introduce to the hobby. When I became a Dungeon Master (and later a Games Master / Referee / Storyteller or whatever) I would always have an Open Table where anyone could drop in and play.
For 30 years, I’ve run a roleplaying group at my house near Nottingham (UK) and we’ve had some good times. Lately, however, with the adults having kids and busy jobs, it’s got harder to organise a session. That hankering for a game, that desire to hang out with like-minded people who’ll accept each other for who they are - well, it got me thinking about taking my game out into a more open space. That space is online.
If you fancy a good old-fashioned knock-about game for a few hours, I’d like you to consider coming and sitting at my virtual table. I have a space for about 6 people every Saturday night (UK time) and will run you through an adventure. As GM, I like to play different systems and genres, so things vary from session to session. Every week it’ll probably be different players but you don’t need to show up regularly. Just come along when you can and roll some dice, meet some new folk, and have an adventure.
Fancy getting involved? Curious, even? Come to UbiRat’s Open Table on SXG:
